THE LEGACY
Mr G.H. Parekh started his entrepreneurial journey with his first venture.
Injecta Ampoule Private Limited in the year 1971
This Company was started on Daman, Gujarat and dealt in manufacturing & supplies of Ampoules (Injection Bottles) to the Pharmaceutical Industry for the packaging of injectable drugs. This company was started in a very very small scale and was later expanded with a wider range of its products.
Bombay Glass Blowing Industries in the year 1979
Later, in the year 1979 this company was built in Vapi, Gujarat and the product line was expanded further in the same category to the manufacturing of Vials (Injection Bottles) to facilitate packaging of injectable drugs. At this point, Mr Parekh’s sons – Mr J.G. Parekh and Mr U.G. Parekh – also joined the business and took up the reigns. Under their leadership, the enterprise grew multifold and the company started having global recognition.
Upaj Polycon Private Limited in the year 2000
With this company the brand called STARPACK was born. This company was built in Daman, Gujarat with the aim of satisfying the growing demand for Plastic Food Packaging Products in the Dairy, Hotel & Beverage Industries. Slowly and steadily this company also grew its range of products and was globally accredited. But as Mr. G.H. Parekh was ambitious to grow, he did not stop here. He targeted yet another project.
UIFPL in the year 2018
Yet another plant was set up in Vapi, Gujarat. This unit was built to cater a very high and premium segment of food packaging keeping in mind a very high hygiene standard for the manufacturing facility, and state of the art European and Japanese technology of machinery. With this STARPACK stepped into a different packaging industry for fresh produce. It is engaged in the production and distribution of an extensive to range of plastic packaging products like Punnets, Clamshells, Sealable Trays and Food Containers.
Today, the enterprise has 4 high standard manufacturing facilities, over 300 employees, a highly experienced and inspiring team of people.
